Useful web sites for small businesses

The following is a list of some of our favourite web sites and web applications we use here at Blue Monkey.

Clearbooks.

Clearbooks is by far the best online accounting system we have used. It allows you to do all the things you'd expect from a traditional desktop based accounting system and more. The things we really like are the automatic reminders for overdue invoices, customer account pages so they can access all of the invoices we've ever raised and online banking integration. It's also really cheap too!

Dropbox

As a web design agency Dropbox has been a lifesaver. All of our important documents and customer files are automatically synced to the web and any connected machines. Not only does it take the hassle away from backing up, it also features version control, allowing you to access previous versions of files or documents.

SagePay

SagePay is a great online payment provider and one we recommend for our e-commerce cusomers. Easy to integrate, easy to use and reasonable costs for transactions. If you run Sage desktop accounting software, you can link that up too.

Zoho Meeting

Zoho have some great web based applications, but one we really love is there remote meeting software. Zoho meeting is great for those meeting that are too far away or you cannot attend for other reasons. Full desktop sharing lets your customer see what you are seeing allowing you to show off your presentations or doucments easily with your customer.

Zoho CRM

Another great product from the Zoho team. Zoho CRM is a full customer relationship management web app, easily as good if not better than many desktop based CRM software and accessible from anywhere that has an internet connection.
